I’m Kieran and I work with men that want to feel better, happier and have confidence in where their life is going. I don’t pass judgement on what you have done (or what you haven’t done) and I work with you to get to where you want to be in life.
As men, it can be really hard to open up about “personal problems”, especially when we’re constantly told to “man up” and “get on with it”.
How many of us feel they can share their vulnerabilities with their friends? Or would be given the time to talk about them without fearing ridicule?
As guys, we might find it easy to show our physical emotions. It’s perfectly acceptable for a man to get angry but would you feel comfortable telling a woman you’re in a relationship with that she’s hurt you emotionally or you need her to show her feelings more?
Maybe not, right? Sometimes we know what we want but we won’t say it because we fear judgement by others.
Or we fear judgement by ourselves…
I know what it’s like, I was like that for years. I had no idea how to ask for help. But one day I realised that if I was ever going to have a lasting relationship with someone I really wanted to be with or progress in a career that I really wanted, I would need to learn how to commuicate effectively. To really listen and to have the confidence to tell somebody what I wanted, whether it be a loved one or my boss, without worrying what their reaction would be. But most importantly of all, I learnt how to listen to myself. I learnt that by paying attention to my thoughts, feelings and emotions, I would be able to learn when something was right and when it wasn’t and have the confidence to do something about it.
If you would like to speak to someone in confidence, face to face, by Skype, email, telephone or instant messaging, I’m available for you to talk to.
