Patricia SteadPatricia Stead Counselling
As a counsellor I strive to provide a non-judgmental, understanding and honest relationship in a safe environment. I have being in private practice for five years and have counselled males with a diverse range of issues. I work extensively with clients on a wide range of issues:
Self esteem & self confidence, Stress and Anger Management, Addictions, Abuse, Health issues, PTSD, Relationship issues, Anxiety, Depression, Self harm, Work related issues, Bullying, Loss and Bereavement
I tailor the sessions to suit the client as counselling very subjective and each individual responds to different types of counselling.
Prior to becoming a counsellor I have worked with all ages and backgrounds within the Health Authority, Local Authority and the voluntary sector. In various roles I have undertaken one to one work with men supporting them through difficult times in their life and also worked with them to rebuild their life. In addition I facilitated groups on emotions, coping with stress and anger, self esteem and confidence building as well as relationships and bereavement – several of the groups were specifically set up for men.
As a counsellor I offer an opportunity to feel comfortable to talk through difficult issues and explore and understand how you are feeling at your own pace. I offer daytime, evening and limited weekend appointments in comfortable private rooms. Skype and telephone sessions are also available.
